What is the Margarita Mayhem?
Margarita Mayhem is a new and totally unique event brought to you by Pro-Motion Events. Taking place in Magnuson Park on a Saturday evening, this is an untimed (but accurately measured and with display clocks at the finish line) 5K run & walk and a “Margarita Mile” for those wanting to go a shorter distance – to ‘fast track to the Margaritas!’. We’re all about getting a little exercise and having a LOT of fun...and margaritas of course!

When is it?
Saturday afternoon/evening May 4th, 2019.  There is a detailed timeline in the “Information” section of this site.

Where exactly is the event?
We will be located in Magnuson Park, 7400 East Sand Point Way NE, 98115. Follow the signs when you get into the park.

Where do I pick up my shirt and bib?
There will be a packet pickup and registration tent near the start/finish line inside Magnuson Park. Beginning at 3 p.m. you can pick up your shirt and bib, until we begin the festivities at 4:30 p.m.

 What do I get for my registration fee?
In addition to event participation, you get a very cool shirt commemorating the event, a finisher medal and your first adult beverage is also included with your entry fee.  In addition to several types of margaritas, we will be offering at least two types of beer. There will be several vendors on hand at the finish line handing out swag and treats as well so please plan on visiting them while you’re there.For anyone under 21, your first non alcoholic beverage in the root beer garden is included with your entry fee.

What about Kids?
We will have a Kids Dash before the main event for those 10 years of age and younger. The kids dash is free, but if you want to buy a youth shirt for your child the cost is $12.  Each participant in the kids dash will receive a custom-printed kids dash bib number to wear and a finisher ribbon at the end.

 What is the course like?
The start and finish are located at the same place. The 5K will take place on paved paths as well as some hard-packed gravel, dirt roads and have a couple of manageable hills. The Margarita Mile is a similar type of course but much shorter of course!

Will the 5K or Mile be timed?
This event is more focused on fun, fitness, camaraderie and of course Margaritas than on finishing times. While there will be no official results, there will be display clocks at the start/finish line so everyone that wants to can keep track of their final time. Both the 5K (3.1 miles) and the Mile will be accurately measured.

There are several full restrooms around the park, including at the starting/finish areas.  We'll supplement those with a row of portable bathrooms and we'll have hand-washing stations. There will also be plenty of portable toilets in the Margarita Garden itself.

 Is it dog-friendly? 
Yes – please remember to leash your furry friends and to clean up after your pup! 

What’s with the Costume Contest?
We appreciate creative costumes, so come decked-out (better yet, bring a team) in whatever garb you think best reflects the Spirit of the weekend and Mimosas and wear it throughout the event! 

What about parking?
Magnuson Park has several large parking lots as well as street parking. But since it does get busy on a nice afternoon in June, we encourage you to take public transportation or carpool if possible. If not, just plan on giving yourself a little bit of time to make sure you can secure a legal parking spot near the event.

Will there be a place to check my clothes at the event?
Yes. You can check any gear you would like at our Gear Check tent in the main venue.
